I decided I would start a daily blog project documenting my decent into the abyss (which is how I refer to the teen years in our household) along with Cameron. Seeing as how she will be entering Junior High this Fall, and Keely just turned 13 on 7/7, it's probably a good time to start. So, this journey will probably go one of two ways: 1) a complete disaster, or 2) a great success. duh.
We're getting ready for the first day of 6th grade, starting on Aug. 6th. She's already made the cheer team, so she will already have some social acceptance which will help ease her transition. Another big milestone worth mentioning this week is that Cameron's "boyfriend", Cade, came over to the house to visit on Sunday afternoon. It was pretty awkward and silly really... Cameron didnt know how to act so she bounced from subject to subject, place to place, and it was kinda funny to watch how flustered she got and felt around this little boy. He seems pretty ok for a boy... his mother seemed completely lovely, Calista is her name, and they live in the little middle class neighborhood near the elementary school.
